1. Wide-Angle 1D & 2D Code Scanning

The MS-7762 supports a wide range of 1D and 2D symbologies, including PDF417, Data Matrix and QR Code, as well as Code 128, EAN-13, EAN-8, Code 39, UPC-A, UPC-E, Codabar, GS1 DataBar and other common 1D formats. With ≥5 mil scanning accuracy, the Embedded 1D & 2D code reader can be integrated into equipment requiring versatile barcode and QR code recognition.

Its 80° diagonal field of view and barcode sensitivity of ±60° tilt, ±55° deflection and 360° rotation provide flexibility when users present codes at different angles. The module is therefore suitable for applications where a conventional narrow-angle embedded barcode reader may not provide the required scanning range.

2. Optimised for Mobile and Electronic Screens

The MS-7762 features a super-angle optical design that allows mobile phones to be positioned closer to the scanning window. It supports AliPay codes at a depth of field of 40–320 mm and WeChat codes at 35–330 mm, making the embedded QR code scanner suitable for payment and identification applications using mobile displays.

Its enhanced electronic screen code parsing capability is designed to handle high-density, low-contrast and colour barcodes. Combined with 6500K white LED illumination and a contrast range of ≥20%, this QR code scanner module provides a practical solution for self-service equipment where users commonly present QR codes from smartphone screens.

3. Optional OCR and Integrated Core Design

The MS-7762 supports optional OCR reading compliant with OCR-A and OCR-B font standards, with customised versions available for specific requirements. This gives the QR code reader module additional functionality for equipment that needs to read both machine-readable codes and selected OCR characters.

The module also integrates the buzzer, fill light and terminal connection into the core board to achieve a highly integrated structure. With a compact 74.05 × 62 × 35.6 mm footprint and a weight of approximately 40 g, the barcode scanner module can be incorporated into vehicle-mounted POS systems, kiosks, cabinets and other embedded equipment.

4. Flexible Interfaces and Industrial-Grade Operation

The MS-7762 provides multiple communication options, including TTL/RS-232, USB, USB COM, TTL3.3V and TTL5V. Its physical interface uses a 6-pin MX1.25 pitch terminal block, allowing the barcode reader module to connect with different host systems and embedded control boards.

The module operates from 3.6–6V and supports working temperatures from -20°C to +60°C, with storage temperatures from -40°C to +70°C. It also supports 5–95% non-condensing humidity, ambient lighting from 0 to 100,000 lux, 2000 G vibration resistance and a 1.2 m drop onto a concrete floor, providing practical durability for self-service and commercial equipment.
