MS-28
MASUNG
The MS-28 is an Embedded 1D & 2D code scanner designed for applications where users need to scan codes from a relatively long distance. It can read 3 × 3 cm payment codes and supports a measured depth of field of 90 ± 10 cm for WeChat codes and 110 ± 15 cm for Alipay codes. Its diagonal 56° field of view and wide scanning range help users scan conveniently at parking lot kiosks and other self-service terminals.
As an embedded barcode reader, the MS-28 supports a broad range of 1D and 2D symbologies. Supported 2D codes include PDF417, Data Matrix, QR Code, and Hanxin, while 1D formats include Code 128, EAN-13, EAN-8, Code 39, UPC-A, UPC-E, Codabar, Code 93, Code 11, Interleaved 2 of 5, GS1 DataBar, MSI-Plessey, and other commonly used formats. With contrast of ≥20%, tilt sensitivity of ±60°, deflection sensitivity of ±55°, and 360° rotation, it can accommodate different code orientations and scanning conditions.
Measuring only 65 × 61 × 28 mm and weighing approximately 30 g, the MS-28 can be integrated into compact kiosks and automated equipment where installation space is limited. It supports USB, RS232, RS485, TTL, and Wiegand communication interfaces, providing flexible connection options for equipment manufacturers and system integrators. Its compact structure also makes the barcode scanner for kiosk applications easier to integrate into existing equipment designs.
The MS-28 is designed for operation in demanding environments, with an operating temperature range of -30°C to +70°C, storage temperature of -40°C to +80°C, and working humidity of 5–95% non-condensing. It supports ambient lighting from 0 to 100,000 lux and can read electronic and paper codes in both sunlight and dark environments. Industrial-grade components and thermal shock testing further support its use in outdoor parking systems, ticketing equipment, and other continuously operating terminals.
The MS-28 Embedded 1D & 2D code reader is suitable for parking lot kiosks, parking payment terminals, access control systems, turnstiles, self-service ticketing machines, transportation terminals, visitor management equipment, and other automated kiosks. It is particularly suitable for scenarios requiring long-distance QR code scanning, mobile payment code reading, paper barcode scanning, wide-angle operation, and reliable performance in outdoor or variable lighting conditions.
