The MS-DCS20 works as an Embedded 1D & 2D code reader, supporting commonly used 1D and 2D symbologies. Its 2D decoding capability covers PDF417, MicroPDF417, Data Matrix, Maxicode, QR Code, MicroQR, Aztec, and Hanxin, while supported 1D formats include UPC, EAN, Code 128, Code 39, Code 93, Code 11, Matrix 2 of 5, Codabar, Interleaved 2 of 5, MSI Plessey, GS1 DataBar, China Postal, and Korean Postal codes. With 4 mil accuracy and motion tolerance above 2 m/s, it can handle different scanning requirements.
Designed for close scanning, the MS-DCS20 provides a depth of field of 0–90 mm for Code 128 10 mil codes and 0–100 mm for QR Code 20 mil codes. A 640 × 480 image sensor and 6500K white LED illumination support barcode and QR code reading in different operating environments. Its sensitivity of ±65° for tilt and deflection, together with 360° rotation, helps the Embedded 1D & 2D code scanner capture codes from different orientations.
The scanner supports USB Type-C, USB COM, and RS232 communication as standard, with optional Bluetooth and 2.4G wireless transmission. When equipped with the optional 2000mA built-in battery and wireless module, it can be used for mobile scanning where a wired connection is inconvenient. This makes the MS-DCS20 suitable for applications requiring an embedded barcode scanner or handheld scanner with flexible data transmission.
The MS-DCS20 can be configured with additional functions for more specialised applications. Its optional NFC module supports 13.56 MHz contactless IC cards, including Type A and Type B cards, with a card reading distance of up to 7 cm. Optional OCR supports OCR-B digital reading for applications such as ID card and passport recognition. Voice broadcast can also provide an audible confirmation after scanning or card reading, helping operators and users identify successful transactions or authentication.
The MS-DCS20 embedded QR code scanner is suitable for conference sign-in systems, visitor management machines, access control, identity authentication, payment terminals, medical self-service equipment, queue management machines, and other self-service applications. Its combination of barcode and QR code scanning, optional OCR and NFC reading, voice broadcast, and wireless transmission makes it particularly suitable for high-density paper codes, mobile phone codes, close-range scanning, ID and passport reading, IC card applications, and wireless scanning scenarios.
