Masung Group, a thermal printer supplier & manufacturer, was founded in 2006. Its headquarters is based in Changsha, Hunan Province. In 2017, the subsidiary of the Masung group, Masung Intelligent Smart Equipment Co., Ltd., was established with its office and production factories based in Longhua District, Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province.

Along the journey since its founding, Masung has acquired more than 200 patents through technical innovations. As of today, the R&D team in Masung consists of more than 80 engineers and 10 graphic and product designers. Since 2012, Masung has been persistently investing a certain portion—20% of its annual revenue—in research, design, development, and refinement of its products and services.

As a printer supplier and manufacturer for almost two decades, Masung boasts two factories for printer production: one in Changsha and the other in Shenzhen. The printing techniques Masung takes pride in, among others, are thermal printing and thermal transfer printing.

Direct thermal printers, which require no ribbon to print and work on heat-sensitive paper only, are ideal for printing shipping labels, receipts, and the like. Our thermal label printing machines have been sold to many countries, mainly to but not limited to Russia, Brazil, Turkey, Vietnam, Thailand, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, India, USA, UK, Belgium, Mexico, and Chile.

Thermal transfer printing, contrary to direct thermal printing, which requires a ribbon for durable, long-lasting printing, is ideal for printing product labels, barcodes, and the like. Industrial thermal printers with wide label rolls mounted can print large-size posters, safety signs, traffic signs, and the like.

As a professional direct thermal and thermal transfer manufacturer and supplier, Masung was resolute and had met the industrial benchmark of being able to engineer and manufacture printers that can perform high-precision printing (203 dpi, 300 dpi, 600 dpi) and high-speed printing (e.g., 200 mm/sec+ for industrial use).

Since 2010, Masung has been a wholesale printer supplier with dominant domestic market shares in China. Our headquarters in Changsha’s industrial park covers an area of more than 40,000 square meters, accommodates more than 500 employees, and has 2 large factories for production, which witness the development and growth of Masung as a holistic operation entity.

In 2015, Masung took the step to explore the international market with the sole goal, aligned with our standard service for domestic customers, of providing superior printers and excellent service for our potential customers worldwide. To this day, we have developed business partnerships with customers from all over the world. To pay respect and provide our customers with the best we can do is always the lifeline of Masung.

Masung covers a wide range of printer types: direct thermal printers and thermal transfer printers, and embedded printers to be integrated with machines and kiosks for businesses to serve the public thanks to their high-speed printing feature with auto cutters, streamlining the operations and elevating the efficiency, and more importantly, saving the labor cost. The direct thermal printers and embedded printers for kiosks and machines from Masung are primarily used for printing receipts and bills.

For the thermal transfer printers, their sizes vary to suit a variety of industries for different uses. But they are chiefly used for printing signs. For instance, safety signs, guidance signs, and notice signs. They are also used to print large waterproof labels to be used outdoors, such as safety labels, warning labels, notice labels, etc. Large signs and labels printed by thermal transfer printers are usually used for industrial purposes.

Masung also has two printer types come in compact sizes. Unlike the embedded printer module, which needs to be integrated into another machine, the desktop printer and POS printer made by Masung can work alone. They are popular among our customers who run small businesses and are used for printing receipts in restaurants, food shops, groceries, bakers’ flower shops, cafes, snack shops, and a lot more. In one word, they make a great contribution to the retail sector.

In recent years, Masung developed a few ID card printers to meet markets where some companies need to print ID badges for their employees, personal driving licenses, or conferences or events where an identity card printer must be present.

In addition, Masung also owns a series of QR code scanners. A few of them are small and lightweight for the convenience of hand-holding. Most of the others are made for indoor use for small businesses to accept pay from customers.

As it was mentioned, Masung is capable of designing and manufacturing large industrial printing machines to print wide labels or signs for special scene uses, but we must clarify that we don’t make super large industrial printers the size of a car or bigger.

With all the types of printers combined, Masung has been supplying its products for various industries, including but definitely more than retail, logistics, healthcare, manufacturing, etc. Above all, customizing your specific requirements for designing and engineering the printers is a solution our R&D team can provide.
